The Dolores Pollinator Boulevard was selected for the Honor Award in the Student Community Service category of the 2018 ASLA Student Awards.

2015

BASE received two NCC ASLA awards: 1) An Honor Award in the Planning, Research, Analysis, and Communications Category for the El Monte Urban Agriculture Initiative Program. 2) A Merit Award in the Parks, Recreation, Trials, and Open Spaces Category for the Children's Museum of Sonoma County.

Let'sPlaySF

2018

BASE was selected to advance to the second round of San Francisco's Let'sPlaySF Initiative. This public/private partnership between the SF Recreation & Parks Department and the San Francisco Parks Alliance will renovate 13 of the city's most deserving playgrounds.

BASE landed in Portland Monthly Magazine's Trophy Case of winning finds for the design and fabrication of the One Tam Roving Ranger. "Is a Bull Run bread truck next?" they ask. Let's hope so!

SXSW ECO

2015

The Redd on Salmon Street was recognized as the winning project in the Place by Design Resilience category at SXSW Eco. BASE's work to weave stories of Portland's culture of regional food into the designed landscape of this two-block campus is ongoing.

2017

Grappling with the risks of global climate disruption is the challenge of our time. BASE led the research phase for the Permaculture and Social Equity Team, one of only ten global teams to be selected to provide a research-based blueprint for resilience to address sea-level rise in the Bay Area.

The Dolores Pollinator Boulevard was honored with an award from SF Beautiful, a nonprofit whose mission since 1947 has been to advocate for civic beauty, neighborhood character, and accessible public art for all in San Francisco.
